The best month of the year is here! That’s right, folks. IT’S OCTOBER!!! Alright so what’s going on over yonder here on NovelKnight, you might ask? (Well, I’ll just pretend you asked, how about that?) I’m looking for a co-reviewer/blogger! Y’all have until the end of this month (October 31st) to talk to me about joining the NK team! I’m looking for 1-2 lovely people to join […]
The second, and final, installment of Renee Ahdieh’s The Wrath & The Dawn series was one I will never forget. It was action packed, surprising, and very bittersweet. We see Shazi fight her way back to Kahlid, experience Tariq find who he really is, and follow Irsa through her transformation from a meek little mouse into a woman to be respected. I absolutely loved almost […]
Over the last few months since I’ve fully rejoined the book community after several years on a semi-hiatus (and many changes to the blog, etc.), I came back to a very different dynamic. And a lot of it was on the more negative side of things. I’ve been disheartened to see what used to be such a positive group (and still is in many ways) have […]
I think I missed the memo about this book being amazing… When I saw The Queen’s Poisoner (along with the sequel) on Amazon and for a discounted price no less, I immediately jumped on that. Where can you go wrong with a political intrigue fantasy? This would be the start, I suppose. I made it a few chapters in and wasn’t hooked, so I checked out the […]
I’ve seen Iron Cast all across social media and everything I hear is good! Plus, I don’t think I’ve ever read a book set in the early 1900s that wasn’t a horribly boring non-fiction story (it just really isn’t my genre) so I can’t wait to see what this debut author has in store for us! What are you excited for this week?

Sometimes size does matter. And for Hunter I’d say it’s one of those times. This quick read blew by in an afternoon, packed with action that easily hooked me. Hunter is a teen bounty hunter (as in she’s still pretty damn young for the profession). Her boss puts her on a mission only she can do and suddenly there’s a target on her back and the hunter […]
I’m excited to welcome Brianna Labuskes, author of One Step Behind, to NovelKnight! Her book is out TODAY so go check it out after hearing a bit more of the woman behind the words. And if you need a little convincing, you can read my review of One Step Behind! All About You You wrote a book! That’s pretty awesome. Why don’t you tell us a bit […]
The Wrath and The Dawn by Renee Ahdieh is a highly recommended fantasy novel about a nation run by hate and the power of the truth. The main character is an incredible, outspoken female who sets out to get revenge for her best friend. However. despite the high praise, it wasn’t a 5 star read for me. Now don’t get me wrong. I really enjoyed […]
