2016 #ReadThemAllThon

Challenge Overview

The fabulous Aentee @ Read At Midnight has created a reading challenge of epic proportions based on (you guessed it) POKEMON! Pulling from the first season of the show, the Indigo League, this challenge consists of 8 books, one for each of the badges. You can see the books I’ve picked for each one below! For more information on how to sign up, click here.

[All graphics belong to Read At Midnight]

The challenge runs from August 14th to September 4th.

Now to add even more fun, each participant gets to have a pokemon sidekick that earns CP (combat points) for various challenge elements (for a detailed list of what will earn points, please refer to Read At Midnight’s original post). The person whose pokemon has the highest CP when the challenge ends gets the bragging rights to the Pokemon League Champion title.

Point Breakdown

The Indigo League

These are taken from Read at Midnight’s post for the challenge and I’m repeating them here primarily for my own reference.

+1 CP // 10 pages read

+20 CP // Badge earned (book read)

+20 CP // Review posted for badge book

+2CP // tweet #ReadThemAllThon (cap of 200 CP)

+5CP // tweet book+pokemon & use tag (cap of 100 CP)

+50 // evolution bonus (evolves at 150CP)

Training for the Elite Four

Now I inquired whether books read after the 8 badge books are finished would count or not and was informed that they will count for pages read CP points with the same ratio as before of +1CP per 10 pages read.

Daily Breakdown

All CP points are calculated using the wonderful Excel document created by Windie @ Geek Apprentice, therefore I have not included the specific point values below. This is just to mark proof of my progress for myself and anyone else interested in following along! 🙂
