I know I shared this one for last week’s Top Ten Tuesday, but it is definitely one of my most anticipated reads this year and I cannot wait for it to come out next month! I’m hoping that I will get a lot more time to read soon, and this one is definitely on the list! I love that this so closely resembles The Labyrinth […]
Wow, y’all, today has been CRAZY. Not really in the good way but that’s all behind us and I’m FINALLY getting this post up (schedule’s been a bit all over the place recently). So…books from 2016 that I haven’t read yet but definitely meant to get to. I feel like there’s a lot of releases I didn’t read but also not at the same time, if […]
If you’ve been following me on any of my media pages lately, you know I’m OBSESSED with the Air Awakens series right now. These books are absolutely fabulous and you’ll have the chance to read all my rave reviews over the course of this month (trust me when I say they’re all gushing amazingness). One thing I really love about this series from an aesthetic point-of-view is […]
Welcome to the first Friday 5 @ 5! This new weekly post is hosted here at NovelKnight by Tia and myself to wrap up the week with a fun (and short) list because we know y’all want to get on with your weekends! Each week we’ll post the response to a prompt and have a link-up for you to add your posts. The link-up will remain open […]
I’ve been excited for Frostblood for a while and can’t believe it’s almost here! Less than a week before this new YA fantasy releases! My pre-order’s in the system so fingers crossed that it arrives on release day. According to THIS QUIZ I’m a fireblood! Though, to be fair, I expected as much (it’s the temper, I think 😉 ). I love the idea of ice and fire together, stemming […]
Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. This week we are talking about 2017 Debuts we are excited about and man are there some great books coming out this year! Caraval - I have heard so much hype for this book and all of it makes me want to read it more!! A mysterious carnival with a hidden agenda? Sign me […]
I am honestly in love with this cover! I love the subtlety of the red while everything else is monochromatic. And the way the title is coming out of the trees just screams mystery novel. It’s what made me want to pick up this book immediately. I hadn’t even known it was an LGBTQ+ book until I did a little more research. The cover had […]
Though I’ll be taking a break from weekly meme posts, I couldn’t resist this one ESPECIALLY since I already have my top 2 choices that will happen… as soon as I get my own animals (despite already living in a zoo). Calcifer from Howl’s Moving Castle I will have an (orange) cat and its name will be Calcifer, and its best friend is going to be… wait […]
I’ve seen Iron Cast all across social media and everything I hear is good! Plus, I don’t think I’ve ever read a book set in the early 1900s that wasn’t a horribly boring non-fiction story (it just really isn’t my genre) so I can’t wait to see what this debut author has in store for us! What are you excited for this week? Austine Well hello […]
As if I could narrow it down to just 10…pssh. But here are 10 for-sure Fall reads! Caraval by Stephanie Garber Nemesis by Anna Banks Vassa in the Night by Sarah Porter Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo Heartless by Marissa Meyer The Thousandth Floor by Katherine McGee The Female of the Species by Mindy McGinnis RoseBlood by A.G. Howard Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones Gilded Cage by Vic […]
I loved the Syrena series and obviously another book by Anna Banks is surely going to be a smash. Thanks to a lovely person on Twitter I was able to get a copy of Nemesis so I’ll be filling y’all in on my thoughts next month before the release. But if we’re being honest, I mean, Egyptian influence? Obviously this is gonna be good. […]
This week’s prompt is all about audio so to change things up a bit from all the bookish fun, here are some of my top favorite songs of all time! These earned space on my Spotify playlist or iPod for way too long. (I’ve Had) The Time of My Life Iris Don’t Stop Believin’ Shut Up and Dance SkyWorld Defying Gravity Someday Dog Days Are […]
